Phoenix and Let Your Love Wash Over Me were both written and

recorded in London in 1996.  Phoenix was written by Rudi Strauss and

I worked with him to finesse the vocal melodies and timing to fit with

the music.  Then we recorded it with a full band at the Rock Garden

venue at Covent Garden, in several sessions before the club opened

for the evening.  (A privilege associated with Rudi being the house

sound engineer!)

Phoenix is dedicated to a friend of Rudi's who was fighting heroin

addiction at the Phoenix Center.
